    Ledgent Technology is on the lookout for a skilled Database Administrator to join our client's team in Boca Raton, Florida. This position requires the successful candidate to be on-site 5 days per week and encompasses a wide range of responsibilities focused on ensuring the optimal performance, availability, and security of SQL Server and MongoDB database systems within both clustered and cloud environments.

    The role involves:

    • Ensuring high-performance, availability, and security of clustered database systems.
    • Deploying, configuring, and managing SQL Server and MongoDB databases in cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
    • Proactively monitoring database performance, tuning and optimizing SQL queries, MongoDB operations, and cloud database instances.
    • Implementing and maintaining cloud-based database backup and disaster recovery solutions.
    • Collaborating with developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and create functional specifications.
    • Upholding compliance with cloud security best practices and standards.
    • Troubleshooting and resolving database-related issues across cloud and on-premises environments.
    • Creating and maintaining comprehensive database documentation.
    • Keeping abreast of industry trends and best practices in database administration, cloud technologies, and DevOps practices.
    • Demonstrating self-motivation, independence, and a detail-oriented team player attitude.
    • Availability for on-call duties and system implementations/upgrades outside of normal business hours to minimize business impact.
    • Exhibiting creativity and latitude in performing a variety of tasks.

    Position Requirements:

    • 3+ years of experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator in a high-traffic web environment.
    • Proficiency in SQL Server database administration tasks including installation, configuration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
    • Experience with MongoDB administration.
    • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and cloud database services.
    • Skilled in SQL server SSRS reporting, and an expert in ETL processes, TSQL, Star Schema, and Data Modeling.
    • Knowledgeable in storage and capacity planning.
    • Strong understanding of database backup and recovery strategies in cloud environments.
    • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
