    With this role, you will be responsible for providing pump system design for a variety of rental projects, including turnkey sewer bypass pumping, water transfer, dewatering, and HDPE pipe fusion.

    You will also work closely with the sales team and branch managers to develop and submit proposals, coordinate with customers and internal teams, generate after-sales submittals, and provide a general sense of technical support.

    RESPONSIBILITY & DUTIES


    Review project plans, requirements and specifications to develop a comprehensive understanding of the project to determine equipment, ensuring reliability and in accordance with project plans and specifications.

    Work closely with the sales team and branch managers to develop pumping solutions utilizing CPE fleet equipment.

    Coordinate with customers and internal teams to ensure that project requirements are met.

    Generate system curves overlayed onto pump curves and interpret the results to validate sales staff equipment recommendation.

    Generate design data from available tools and site information.

    Monitor and track multiple submittal schedules concurrently.


    Attend client pre-bid meetings, visit job sites, and keep a record of verbal information from the client during the pre-bid meeting.

    Ensure that supporting documentation is provided in a timely manner.

    Identify and mitigate project risks.

    Perform detailed engineering calculations to analyze and design bypass system.

    Utilize CPE proprietary programs, tools, and training to ensure accurate and efficient calculations.

    Diagnose and troubleshoot pump-related issues.

    Assist in estimating resources required for large-scale projects.

    Become product champion with expertise in CPE fleet.

    QUALIFICAITONS, COMPETENCIES & SKILLS REQUIRED

    0-4 years of experience providing technical solutions.

    Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.

    Strong knowledge hydraulic systems, preferably specifically relating to pump systems.

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    Ability to work independently with little supervision as well as part of the team.

    Computer experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.

    Ability to learn and understand the unique nature of temporary bypass pumping systems.

    Ability to travel to job site with sales staff and present value-added sells support.

    Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

    Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and work extended hours as required by workload.

    Good organizational and communication skills

    Must pass pre-employment drug screening.

    Must clear E-Verify verification (per AZ State Mandate)

    Must have valid driver's license with a clean driving record.


    Education & Experience:
    Adequate work experience, bachelor's in engineering preferred (EIT not required)

    0-4 years industry experience

    Familiarity with Pipe, Hose, Valves, Fittings, and how they impact overall system design.

    Experience with municipal market, or familiarity with municipal transport process

    This is a full-time position. Some travel may be required.

    The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job.
