Job Summary and Description:
Play a key role in supporting EPRI research and development spanning energy supply and low-carbon resources by providing financial operations and project operations assistance to the Generation Operations, Project, and Financial teams. Core responsibilities include financial data input and validation as well as logistics support and analysis. Requires attention to detail, flexibility with learning new financial systems, and a prioritization of team goals using a proactive and collaborative mindset to address dynamic priorities as part of a cross-functional team.
Organizational Culture
The Generation Operations team supports a diverse group of technical experts working to enable the energy supply transformation of non-nuclear power generation, energy storage, and low-carbon energy resources. EPRI's Generation Sector values safety and excellence and is guided by prioritizing innovation, committing to the team, being a leader, choosing kindness, and having fun. The Project and Business Operations team supports the entire sector and is well aligned with peers supporting other internal teams. This role works very closely with the Generation Project Coordinator team to ensure work is executed smoothly and delivers the greatest value to all stakeholders. The work is fast-paced and requires confidence in navigating projects with multiple interdependencies.
Job Description
As an EPRI Student, you will not participate in EPRI's Benefit Programs which includes health insurance, retirement benefits, vacation, sick leave (except as set required by law) and holiday pay. However, as a Student employee you are eligible for the benefits of Social Security, State Disability Insurance, and Workers' Compensation Insurance.
For Student positions which require one to relocate to an EPRI office. Relocation assistance is not provided and the student will be responsible for covering all relocation costs/expenses.
EPRI participates in E-Verify, an online system operated jointly by the Department of Homeland Security and the Social Security Administration (SSA). EPRI uses the system to check the work status of new hires by comparing information from the employee's I-9 form against SSA and Department of Homeland Security databases.
