- Responsible for comprehensive testing of software applications, through test plan creations, test case (manual and/or automated) development and test case execution.
- Identify, document and track software defects and inconsistencies found as part of the software application testing.
- Work with other engineering groups to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret functional tests for products, systems, components, or modifications.
- Plan, coordinate, support functional testing of hardened equipment.
- Develop functional testing plans.
- Identify functional problems and suggest resolutions.
- Generate testing artifacts and provide functional test reports with inputs and recommendations.
- Evaluate vendor technology and advise customer of concerns.
- Support customer Developmental and Operational Testing events.
- Assist in the review and analysis of verification methods and results.
- Assist in the development and update of verification processes and procedures. Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in related field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education.
- 8+ year experience in software testing methodologies, techniques, and approaches for manual and automated testing.
- Strong understanding of software testing techniques and methodologies.
- Experience with manual and automated testing tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred:
- Working knowledge of Agile development methodology and Scrum
