DescriptionPosition Overview:
The Restaurant Systems Manager will play a critical role in the implementation, optimization, and ongoing management of Surcheros' new cloud-based enterprise POS platform. This individual will serve as the primary subject matter expert, supporting both corporate and franchise operations by ensuring the POS environment is stable, efficient, and aligned with business objectives.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant operations, possess technical aptitude, and demonstrate the ability to collaborate across multiple teams including Operations, R&D, Marketing, Accounting, and Customer Experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
- Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues within the POS system and related integrations.
- Implementation and Updates:
- Support the rollout of the new POS system, pilot testing, and future feature updates and enhancements.
- User Support:
- Deliver training and technical support to store associates, managers, and franchisees to ensure proper system usage.
- Requirement Analysis:
- Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for POS development and enhancements.
- Collaboration:
- Act as a liaison between Technology, Store Operations, R&D, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams.
- Data Analysis:
- Analyze sales and transaction data to identify trends, opportunities for efficiency, and system optimization initiatives.
- System Optimization:
- Continuously monitor and improve POS performance to enhance user experience and business results.
- Documentation:
- Create and maintain technical documentation, training guides, system manuals, and troubleshooting materials.
- Menu Management:
- Partner with R&D and Marketing teams to update, maintain, and test all menu changes, pricing, and promotions within the POS environment.
- New Store Setup:
- Coordinate all technology needs for new restaurant openings, including hardware setup, system configuration, and integration validation.
- Integration Testing:
- Ensure ongoing functionality between the POS system and third-party applications such as Ecommerce (OLO), Loyalty (Punchh), Backoffice (TBD), Payroll (TBD), Accounting (TBD), Digital Signage, and Mobile Apps.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with cloud-based POS systems (e.g., Revel, Toast, Brink, or similar).
- Background working with loyalty programs, online ordering platforms, accounting/payroll integrations.
- Project management experience a plus.
- Previous experience supporting franchise operations highly desirable.

- Prior experience in restaurant operations or multi-unit retail strongly preferred.
- Database Management:
- Familiarity with SQL server databases, basic querying, and troubleshooting techniques.
