    Description

    GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY

    Provide a variety of support to the Disc Engineering Department, including internal customers within the business unit, and external customers. Process and maintain all documents required for the efficient operation of the Disc Engineering Department.

    DUTIES

    · Product Engineering Orders; process, track and maintain prototype engineering orders

    · PM/DN – Engineering change notifications; process and track within the department

    · Preparation, distribution, and follow up on prototype orders with the program engineer and the plant, including providing shipping information and proof of delivery to customer.

    · Liaison between disc engineering and manufacturing plants regarding shipment delays, product shortages or other issues which may affect product delivery.

    · Keep spreadsheet of all prototype orders up to date. Review Spotfire report of orders to engineering department weekly.

    · Serve as liaison between the prototype department, internal customer teams, and customers to resolve delivery, billing, or payment issues

    · Provide support to individual engineers as needed

    · Preparation of prototype labels for all customer shipments.

Must adhere to good business principles and have good judgment, stability, accuracy, and solid ethical standards. The requirements of the business may cause frequent interruptions and changing priorities. Must be able to handle multiple tasks and see them through to completion.

    KNOWLEDGE

    · Database/ERP: Microsoft AX/Axapta, SAP

    · Solid understanding of manufacturing environment (Machining and Assembly)

    · Experience in the Automotive Industry

    · Good analytical skills

    · Strong PC Applications – Microsoft Suite applications; Excel, Word, Access, Visio
