    ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Arlington, Virginia.

    Job Details:


    • Float position covering IMC, Tele 1 (cardiac), Tele 2 (non-cardiac), and Med/Surg units

    • Every other weekend (EOW) required with 6 weekend shifts (Saturday or Sunday) per 6 weeks

    • No call responsibilities

    • Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends

    • Must have active Virginia or Compact nursing license in hand at submission

    • 3 years of experience required with travel experience preferred

    • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS

    • PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required

    • Cardiac telemetry experience required

    • Management of dysrhythmias required

    • Telemetry monitoring on unit required

    • Use of rapid response teams required

    • Pre/post cardiac catheterization experience required

    • Central line care management required

    • PICC line management required

    • Heparin protocols required

    • Manage and titrate cardiac drips required

    • Isolation precautions required

    • Experience with Epic charting system required

    • NIH, traumatic brain injury, peripheral nerve block catheters, surgical drains, wound care/wound vac, and starting IVs preferred

    • Care for pulmonary, cardiac, and trauma patients requiring advanced airway management including tracheostomies and ventilators

    • Work with patients on high flow oxygen, BIPAP, cardiac drips, chest tubes, and Zephyr valves

    • Handle conditions including acute/chronic pulmonary conditions, CHF, rule out MI, post MI, unstable angina, and dysrhythmias

    • Must attend Epic training class (accelerated or 2-day) unless returning within past 6 months

    • Completion of up to 7 hours of non-billable modules during orientation

The unit features interdisciplinary support services including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

    Adex Job ID # Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
