Job summary
The Community Recovery Coach is an integral part of the team that conducts outreach and engagement to survivors of an opioid overdose after discharge and referral from the emergency department. The Peer Recovery Coach provides non-clinical services to aid patients in establishing recovery and reducing risk associated with subsequent overdose.- Conducts screenings to understand patient history of drug or alcohol use.
- Facilitates patient readiness for change using motivational interviewing techniques.
