This medical laboratory technician collects and handles clinical specimens performs laboratory tests operates laboratory equipment and reports results under the supervision of a medical technologist demonstrating the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served also demonstrates knowledge of principles growth development possesses ability to assess data reflective patient's status interprets appropriate information needed identify each patient's requirements relative served needs provide care needed.
