Duties
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Residential and Commercial audiovisual equipment including displays, projectors, microphones, speakers, video conferencing systems, and control systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on AV hardware and cabling infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals related to AV and telecommunication systems.
- Manage low voltage cabling installations for audio, video, data, and telecommunication networks following safety standards.
- Conduct field service visits to diagnose issues on-site, repair or replace faulty components using hand tools and mechanical knowledge.
- Troubleshoot software problems related to AV control systems and communication platforms to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with clients and team members to understand technical requirements for events or installations, providing expert guidance on system capabilities.
- Maintain detailed records of system configurations, maintenance activities, and troubleshooting procedures for future reference.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with electrical systems including E & I (Electrical & Instrumentation) principles and low voltage wiring techniques.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software troubleshooting, and telecommunication systems.
- Skilled in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings relevant to AV installations.
- Hands-on experience with field service operations involving cabling, equipment setup, and maintenance tasks.
- Familiarity with software platforms used for AV control (such as Control4, Crestron, ) is preferred.
- Ability to use hand tools safely and efficiently during installation or repair work.
