    Requirements

    Specifically:
    • Assist Veterans with obtaining access to services and supports to help them live independently in the community, increase their self-advocacy skills, and improve their quality of life.
    • The capacity to empower individuals to advocate for themselves to maximize independence. This includes supporting veterans and providing guidance with financial management for their individual care and budgeting/spending needs.
    • Facilitate development, implementation, and documentation of Veteran-directed support and spending plans. Monitor billing to ensure Veterans are within budget.
    • Work in partnership with Financial Management Services (FMS) to assist Veterans in completing employer and employee paperwork and submitting timesheets.
    • Ability to commute up to 70% or more as needed within the Colorado Springs area and surrounding counties to meet with individual veterans to present information and training.
    • Monitor services and problem-solve for a caseload of Veterans. Conduct functional assessments on activities of daily living for long-term services and supports; review available documentation; and apply criteria and regulations specific to requests for services.
    • Collaborate with military entities, community partners, and external vendors to best serve Veterans. Promote The IC through positive representation and communication. Attend weekly case review meetings and required staff meetings.
    • Extensive field and administrative work. Office environment requiring ongoing computer use and extended amount of time sitting or standing.
    • Implement non-compliance policy and risk mitigation plans as needed.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • Maintains a high level of confidentiality and works within the confines of HIPPA regulations.
    • Internet access to work remotely if protocols are issued for remote work.
    • BS Degree or equivalent work experience.
    • At least one year of experience in a case management environment.
    • Proficient with computers, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook, Teams, and Zoom.
