- Implement and monitor critical control points to ensure food safety standards are upheld.
- Supervise the quality and safety of products during manufacturing and packaging.
- Perform sanitation verification and allergen testing on equipment and areas as required.
- Ensure accurate recording and filing of all relevant quality control documentation and logs.
- Manage the production schedule and inventory of raw materials and packaging supplies.
- Educate team members on food safety and SQF standards, ensuring their compliance.
- Issue disciplinary actions in accordance with company protocols as needed.
- Collect and analyze product samples for testing as per directives.
- Inspect products, equipment, and machinery to identify and preempt potential issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality concerns and drive improvements.
- At least 10 years of experience in Quality Control within the food manufacturing industry.
- Bachelors Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and self-motivation.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and work in physically demanding conditions.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
- Excellent teamwork, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage deadlines and pressure effectively.
