    Description
    PSC has a Contracts Specialist position open in our Contracts and Procurement Department. This position will be located in our Little Canada, MN office.

    Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
    • Assist in evaluating, negotiating, and executing various contracts covering a broad range of transactions including prime contracts, subcontracts, non-solicitation, non-disclosure, and bonding agreements.
    • Assist in identifying and implementing continuous process improvement initiatives to effectively and efficiently streamline the contract procurement process.
    • Assist in creating and maintaining working relationships with subcontractors and customers.
    • Assist in maintaining correspondence and documentation related to contracts.
    • Assist in certificate of insurance collection and tracking for subcontractors to ensure currency.
    • Assist in monitoring contracts and moving forward with closing, extending, and amending agreements.
    • Assist in the subcontractor approval process including interaction with other departments to gain approvals.
    • Assist in problem solving issues that are contract related.
    • Tracking and processing work orders and purchase orders.

    A successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree preferred, high-school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Moderate understanding of the utility industry, its services, customers, and providers.
    • Effective communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Critical thinking skills and the ability to research a problem.
    • Basic understanding of contracts, contract governance, contractual language and the contract lifecycle.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and has talent for accuracy and precision.
    • Effective reading, writing, and language skills.
    • Driven and self-motivated character traits.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
    • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks with moderate guidance.
    • Strong organizational.
    • Must have previous experience in Viewpoint application.
    • Previous experience with SmartSheet preferred.
