    Processor - Clifton, NJ - Monday - Friday - 6:00am-9:00am

    Under the supervision of a Supervisor, the Processor processes manual and link requests, aliquotssamples, sorts and prepares samples for pick up by laboratory staff or delivers samples to the appropriate laboratory for assay set up. Must be able to perform and follow all processing procedures related to pre-analytical processes. However, the position is not limited to these functions. Accurately enter data into the computer system manually or electronically.

    Pay Range: $17.65+ per hour

    Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

    • Responsible for all responsibilities of the Specimen Preparation Assistant.
    • Demonstrates an ability to learn the job duties assigned to the SPTI, anddevelops an understanding of how all the functions in Specimen Processing fit together.
    • Identifies problems with specimen types, missing information etc. and assigns the appropriate TIQ, and in some cases resolves them.
    • Demonstrates an understanding of the compliance policies related to test ordering, which requires developingability to research test ordering information on translation tables, computer system, and the directory of services.
    • Meets standards for production and accuracy within 6 months.
    • Understands the complex relationship between test(s) ordered and specimen received.
    • Completes all required written documentation, legibly and within the assigned timeframe
    • Reports to work ontime, andfollows attendance guidelines.
    • Learns additional functions within Specimen Processing to allow timely progression to the next level.
    • Performs other duties as assigned
