Supreme Rice is a growing rice manufacturing company, looking for an experienced Quality Control Manager at our Crowley, LA, location.
Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing and implementing quality control processes throughout the product lifecycle, managing QC Leaders at multiple locations, and ensuring adherence to quality standards and customer requests.
Key ResponsibilitiesImplementation of Food Safety Fundamentals, Food Safety Plan, and Food Quality Plan. Implement comprehensive quality control plans with each team leader
Conduct regular inspections and audits at all locations to ensure adherence to our product standards, safety standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
Ensure continuous site inspection and audit readiness, meeting internal, regulatory, and customer expectations daily
Maintain accurate records of quality control activities, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and corrective action plans.
Prepare and present regular reports to senior management detailing project quality performance and plans for improvement.
Lead root cause analysis investigations for quality incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions. Identify opportunities for process improvements
Deliver training programs to ensure all QC personnel understand and adhere to quality control processes.
Work closely with regulatory agencies during inspections and approval
Work environment:
This position typically works onsite at several locations with some office time.
Typically works days - night, weekends, and overtime as required
Constant collaboration with fellow team members
Qualifications:
Prefer Bachelor's Degree and a related curriculum
Required - minimum 3-5 years related experience in a food manufacturing environment
Required - Demonstrated experience in root cause analysis and problem-solving
Preferred - Demonstrated work experience relating to inspections and audits, formal response, and correspondence
Preferred - Knowledgeable in general OSHA safety regulations
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team-oriented, inclusive, and diverse work environment
Strong facilitation, leadership, coaching, and communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong computer skills:
High proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams)
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks, applying time management strategies
Action-oriented for delivering results - must be a self-starter
