    About the Position:
    This position is located with the U.S. Army Sustainment Command, Army Field Support Brigade, in Fort Carson, Colorado.

    Responsibilities Plan, conduct, and coordinate studies to assist in the development of logistics functions such as supply, maintenance, transportation, procurement, and other logistics services.

    Coordinate with supported activities and units to effect necessary changes in logistics planning procedures and recommend revisions to existing operational plans to ensure compatibility.

    Determine requirement priorities for establishment of projects and perform annual review and/or revision of projects to ensure adequate support for purposes intended.

    Conduct readiness analysis for supported activities and units.

    Compile data necessary to determine trends, prepare materiel readiness data for display, and provide guidance/assistance where corrective actions and improvements are required.

    Analyze a variety of data in reports such as reports of staff visits, Inspector General, Army Audit Agency, and other logistics functional reports reflecting the status of logistics operations.

    Specialized Experience:
    One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Planning, conducting, and/or coordinating logistics readiness studies; 2) Providing guidance to others on logistics readiness issues; 3) Monitoring the efficiency, effectiveness, and/or productivity of an organization's logistics services; and 4) Resolving logistics problems.

    This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).


    Time in Grade Requirement:

    Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).

    Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
