Job Description:

Red Robin is seeking a reliable and motivated individual, 21 years or older, to join our team as a Bartender. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, including alcoholic beverages, in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations, while providing exceptional customer service to our guests. The Bartender position consistently follows the Red Robin recipe book, processes, and procedures to prepare drinks for Guests. They take accurate orders, monitor bar inventory, restock supplies, and maintain cleanliness in the bar area. Bartenders are responsible for checking Guests' IDs, enforcing responsible alcohol service policies, and providing excellent Guest service.

Essential Functions:

Deliver exceptional Guest service by being efficient, confident, personable, and knowledgeable about beverages.
Prepare cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages per Red Robin guidelines, utilizing proper glassware and garnish.
Uphold and enforce state and local liquor laws, and refuse service when necessary.
Describe and recommend various types of wine and beer to Guests.
Suggestively sell beverages and encourage service Team Members to increase beverage sales.
Educate and develop service Team Members in beverage knowledge and sales techniques.
Monitor bar inventory and ensure adequate pars are maintained.
Prep mixers and garnishes, handle cash, and input orders accurately.
Explain menu items and make appropriate suggestions to Guests.
Maintain target production times and control bar costs effectively.
Read and organize tickets efficiently and use the POS system accurately.
Maintain a clean and sanitary work station, including equipment and glassware.
Assist in transporting food orders and pre-busing/bar and table cleaning.
Communicate effectively with Guests and coworkers, handling crowds and putting Guests at ease.
Adhere to schedule and be punctual for shifts, training, and meetings.
Operate effectively in a team environment.

Qualifications:

High School degree or equivalent preferred.
Minimum of 2 years related experience preferred or Red Robin restaurant serving experience.
Must be 21 years or older.
Must be certified in responsible service of alcohol training approved by state regulatory agency.

Ability to handle cash accurately.

Working Conditions:

Equipment: Computer, calculator, desk supplies, cash drawer, bar taps, mixer, soft service machine, blender, bottle opener, glass racks, dish machine, telephone, food product.
Work Environment: Typical restaurant environment with varying temperatures.
