    We are looking for a highly motivated Sr. Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support our growing network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in networking technologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. This salary position will report to an IT Manager.

    DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    • Leads design, configuration and administration of all network infrastructure.
    • Implement and maintain security measures to protect the network from threats and vulnerabilities.
    • Perform preventative network maintenance tasks such as software updates, patches, and backups.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of network systems.
    • Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in networking.
    • Configure, monitor, and optimize network settings to ensure maximum performance and reliability.
    • Evaluate current infrastructure and recommend "best practices" for improvements.
    • Configure, install and troubleshoot network technologies, such as routers, switches, firewalls.
    • Troubleshoot voice systems, phones, and network protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, RIP, BGP).
    • Create and maintain documentation including diagrams, configurations, policies and procedures.
    • Assist in the planning and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
    • Prioritize workload alongside internal Technical Support Specialists.
    • Engage with external consultants and vendors as required.
    • Drive network standards and provide feedback to the Network Team.
    • Provide after-hours On-Call support as required.
    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
    • Understanding of Network Access Control (NAC), Radius, 802.1x, AD, LDAP, DNS.
    • Strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPNs).
    • Proficiency in network security principles and technologies.
    • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Familiarity with cloud networking and virtualization technologies is advantageous.
    PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
    • Proven experience as a Network Engineer or a similar role.
    • Hands-on experience with Cisco, Meraki, or other network hardware and software.
    • Certifications such as Cisco CCNA or CCNP, NSE, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are a plus.
    PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
    • Ability to sit for extended periods within an office environment.
    • Ability to use hands and fingers for computer keyboarding, and answer phone calls.
    • Ability to communicate via the telephone using speaking and hearing skills.
