    Overview



    Performs routine cafeteria duties:

    stock supplies, set up food lines, operate cash registers, cook short-order grill items, portion and serve food to customers in a courteous manner.

    Clean and maintain work area to meet established standards.



    Responsibilities



    Meal Service:
    Process meal service customer orders, including patients and guest. Ensures adherence to diet orders while visiting patients. Completes documentation in a timely manner such as meal served, cashier reports, floors stock forms, ect. Process orders for patient request. Performs tray assembly and delivery. Preforms tray retrieval from units following all meals.


    Sanitation:

    Practices proper sanitation of the department including pots, pans, service ware, equipment, walls, doors, floors, removal of trash from department properly, ect.



    Workstation:
    Preforms all work in a safe and sanitary manner. Maintains all workstations in a neat and organized manner. Insures all cleaning cloths are stored properly.


    Documentation/safety:
    Completes documentation in a timely manner such as meal served, cashier reports, floors stock forms, ect. Adheres to Hospital, department, local, state, and federal codes.


    Stocking:
    Coordinates processing of AM and PM nourishment orders with labels. Delivery and stocking of pantries on nursing units and retail areas.


    Work load and staffing:
    Responds and cooperates with changes in workload and staffing. Demonstrates willingness, eagerness, enthusiasm, optimism, and passion while working. Heightened personal effort in face of obstacles and adversity and having a sense of urgency. Provides excellent customer service.



    Qualifications




    EDUCATION:High School Diploma or equivalent, Preferred


    EXPERIENCE:

    LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
