- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Responsible for month end closing process and preparation of financial statements for various entities, for review, by company president, owners, and outside auditors.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Month-end and Year-end Close: Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals, to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Participate in the annual budget process for the Company and interim forecasting.
- General Ledger Management: Analysis of monthly general ledger account activity, journal entries, accruals, variances to forecast, and reconciliation of various accounts, fixed asset administration, and various employee benefit accounting.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct variance analysis and financial performance assessments, identifying trends, opportunities, and potential risks. Maintenance of various spreadsheets to support financial transactions and analysis of various expenses.
- Bank reconciliations and various treasury functions, including bank liaison and cash flow management between various bank accounts and entities.
- Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Audit Support: Coordinate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and support during audits.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate accounting processes and procedures, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements and implementing best practices.
- Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Ad hoc Projects: Support special projects and initiatives as assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.

- Tax experience in some general partnership or corporate tax laws/preparation a plus.
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field required;
- 2+ years public accounting experience in auditing or tax is required;
