Job summary
The House Nurse Coordinator is accountable for the management of nursing services on a given shift under the guidance of the Director of Nursing Services in order to provide safe, effective and efficient nursing care. Manage nursing services on the assigned shift in an efficient manner by planning, organizing and controlling all activities of the department(s). Implement total quality management concepts into nursing service operations. Use the concepts of total quality management to evaluate the effectiveness of shift operations, make changes or recommendations for changes as indicated and assure that the appropriate staff and supplies are available to patients when needed.Responsibilities
- Determine placement of patients according to nursing care needs and coordinate transfer pf patients or equipment. ,
- Coodinate solution interdepartmental problems with managerial personnel. ,
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge so that they may recommend new services products or equipment. ,
- Select employees receive orientation required inservice training maintain licensure certification.
