    Volunteer Position Summary

    The COA Committee Members will have passion for the Pueblo West Metro District mission and share the vision. The COA Committee Members will champion the mission in the community. The COA Committee Members will attend regularly scheduled COA meetings on the second and fourth Thursday of every month. The COA Committee Members will regularly check district email for application review and updates on other district information. TO APPLY YOU MUST BE A RESIDENT OR PROPERTY OWNER OF PUEBLO WEST

    Essential Functions

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
    • The COA Committee Members to provide for maintenance of a high standard of architecture and construction in such manner as to enhance the aesthetic properties and structural soundness of the developed subdivision.
    • The COA Committee Members shall be guided by and, except when in their sole discretion good planning would dictate to the contrary, control by the Declaration of Reservations.
    • The COA Committee Members shall determine whether the Conditions contained in the Declaration are being complied with.
    • The COA Committee Members may adopt reasonable rules and regulations in order to carry out its duties.
    • Enforcing the Declarations of Reservations that was recorded on all lots when each subdivision was created and recorded for topics such as:
    • Building and Adding to Improvement on a Property
    • Guidelines for Storage
    • Landscaping/Ground Cover
    • Land Use
    COA Board Terms and Participation
    • The COA at-large positions serve a 4-year term.
    • COA Committee Members elected to the office of Chair serve 1 year terms in each office.
    • There must be 5 members on this committee.
    • COA meetings are held bi-weekly, on Thursdays at 5:30pm, or as determined by the members. The COA, on occasion, holds half-day or daylong retreats, convened at the consent of the whole COA.
    • COA Members will be compensated monthly at $60/ meeting for auto allowance.
    • It is expected that for each bi-weekly meeting, COA Members drive the properties they are assigned and prepare accordingly for the review of the applications.

    Required Qualifications (Note: Any acceptable combination of education, training and experience that provides the above knowledge, abilities and skills may be substituted.)

    Required Qualifications
    • All Volunteers must adhere to all District rules, regulations and policies, either published or in effect by custom and usage, and all rules, regulations and laws of the State of Colorado as may be required by County and State statutes.
    • All Volunteers will be subjected to a background check, including criminal record, driving record, past employment and volunteer history. NOTE: Information collected during the background check will be limited to determining a volunteers suitability for particular types of volunteer work and all such information collected during the check will be kept confidential.
    Supplemental Information

    VOLUNTEER AGREEMENT: I understand that I am offering my services to the Pueblo West Metropolitan Distric without compensation. Once I become a Pueblo West Metropolitan District volunteer, I agree to abide by all District rules, regulations and policies, either published or in effect by custom and usage, and all rules, regulations and laws of the State of Colorado as may be required by County and State statutes. I understand by signing this volunteer application, I hereby grant the District permission to perform a check on my background, including criminal record, driving record, past employment and volunteer history. I understand that information collected during this background check will be limited to that appropriate determining my suitability for particular types of volunteer work and that all such information collected during the check will be kept confidential.
