    Job Description

    The Account Manager serves as a key representative of Apotheco Pharmacies, ensuring a positive customer experience and optimizing utilization where possible. This role is responsible for managing customer relationships within the designated Charleston, South Carolina territory.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Develop and execute territory objectives to meet sales goals set by management.

    2. Understand pharmacy programs, operations, and offerings to effectively communicate pharmacy benefits and services.

    3. Stay up-to-date on new initiatives, programs, and pricing changes.

    4. Maintain current field materials on a weekly basis.

    5. Identify marketing needs and present them to management.

    6. Lead the development of project goals and timelines for accounts.

    7. Assist in executing new programs/initiatives at all pharmacies/accounts.

    8. Serve as the primary point of contact for accounts within specified geography for all matters related to pharmacy utilization.

    9. Create daily and weekly schedules to meet with accounts.

    10. Understand the unique features of each account/practice.

    11. Act as a consultative business partner, continually identifying opportunities to improve the customer's business through increased utilization of service/programs/solutions.

    12. Take lead on operational management of onboarding new accounts.

    13. Clearly communicate the services our pharmacy locations can offer patients/accounts and uncover how our services match account needs.

    14. Develop plans alongside account decision makers/providers for improved utilization.

    15. Collaborate with providers and staff to improve pharmacy communication.

    16. Proactively anticipate, investigate, and resolve customer issues both in the field and remotely via phone, working closely with Pharmacists to ensure total issue resolution and customer satisfaction.

    Collaboration/Planning:

    1. Build customer profiles for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.

    2. Identify areas of improvement within accounts in collaboration with pharmacists.

    3. Collaborate with pharmacists to create short- and long-term plans, prioritizing maintenance, growth, and new business on a quarterly basis.

    4. Facilitate account education events as needed.

    5. Effectively collaborate with industry colleagues, including pharmaceutical and manufacturing partners.

    6. Regularly meet with Business Development Manager and Pharmacists to review accounts, discuss current standings, and explore potential business strategies.
