- Job Summary: The Respiratory Aide II, working under the supervision of a licensed Respiratory Therapist, provides basic respiratory care to non-acute patients. Responsibilities also include cleaning, assembling, and maintaining respiratory supplies and equipment while ensuring a clean and organized work area.
- Draws arterial and/or capillary blood samples, processes samples, records and reports results, and performs required quality controls.
- Administers oxygen delivery devices and sets up monitors for non-invasive equipment.
- Provides basic respiratory therapy techniques including Aerosol Therapy, Postural Drainage and Percussion, Incentive Spirometry, Metered Dose Inhalers, and other modalities.
- Performs EKG's, understands electronic monitoring, lead placement, and basic arrhythmias.
- Cleans, sterilizes, assembles, tests, and maintains facility respiratory equipment.
- Orders and delivers oxygen, ensures equipment availability for procedures, and arranges repairs for broken equipment.
- Fills orders and inspects deliveries of respiratory supplies and equipment, and labels storage areas.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Good computer skills, troubleshooting, and creative thinking
- Customer service orientation, accountability, and ability to interpret data
- Knowledge of non-invasive respiratory therapy equipment and therapeutic procedures
