We are seeking candidates for an Electrician position. This role performs electrical maintenance and construction and assist in performing instrumentation, industrial computer, and mechanical work as directed. Compensation for this direct hire job is based on skills & experience.
What You'll Do as the Electrician:

• Use knowledge and skills to preform electrical maintenance on electrical switch gear, breakers, motors, variable frequency drives, controllers, etc.
• The Electrician I will use knowledge and skills to preform new construction work for maintenance and capital improvements
• The Electrician I will also be asked to assists Instrument Techs, Industrial Computer Techs, Electrical Techs, Operators and Mechanical Technicians in their jobs.
• Keep work areas clean.
• Use maintenance software to generate and complete service calls, procurement of materials and services, and extract data for trouble shooting, record keeping and reporting
• It is desired that the Electrician I develop process knowledge, instrumentation, and programming skills of self and others through training.
• Use people, time, equipment, and material in the most efficient manner.
• Report mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, environmental, food safety, feed safety, and operational problems, and unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Other duties as required by the business.

• Adhere to all company policies and all safety, food safety, feed safety, and sanitation rules and programs

What You Need to Become the Electrician:

• Journeymen License in the state of North Dakota or a state with reciprocity
• 2-year degree or diploma in an electrical or instrumentation field from an approved trade or technical school is preferred, but not required
• Fike explosion suppression systems certification is preferred, but not required
• Leadership and judgment qualities required
• Process related experience and basic sugar processing knowledge desired
• Must be motivated, willing, enthusiastic, and promotable
• Ability to communicate and work cohesively with others
• Typical knowledge and skills needed, including, Blueprint Reading, Electrical Theory, Power Supplies, Basic Measurement Instrumentation, Force, Weight, and Motion Measurement, Level Measurement, Final Control Elements, Elements of Mechanics, Electrical Measurements, Energy Conservation, Motor and Generator Maintenance, Electrical Protective Devices, Math, Bearings, Motor and generator maintenance, Electrical Controls, Electronic Theory, Pneumatics, and Process Control
