    Community Development Project Specialist Assists with planning and public input activities related to community development projects and work program.

    Assists in the development and administration of contracts, policies, procedures, and standards for public improvement activities involving construction and/or commercial and neighborhood revitalization projects, historic preservation projects and other public service and economic development activities.

    Ensures all activities are carried out in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
    Assists with providing technical assistance for community development programs and projects.
    Assists in the development of implementation schedules for projects.
    Maintains financial files and reports for projects.
    Creates and maintains current information in various databases and produces accurate management reports.

    Assists in the preparation of interim and annual reports as required by HUD.Prepares project status reports and conducts site inspections.

    Monitors compliance with labor standards and environmental review requirements.
    Completes any related documentation.
    Audits weekly payrolls submitted by contractors to ensure federal labor standard requirements.

    Manages agreements with nonprofit partners in community development; including oversight of program delivery, contract compliance, and compliance with applicable federal/state/local laws and regulations.

    Participates in a wide variety of project planning, implementation, and management.
    Reviews invoices and forwards to supervisors for payment authorization.
    Works on special projects as assigned.
    MARGINAL FUNCTIONSAssists with completion of environmental reviews.
    May serve as community development liaison with residents and neighborhood organizations in neighborhood strategy areas.

    May meet with general public to identify public improvement needs and priorities and works with general public, businesses, City departments and other governmental bodies to develop and implement community improvements programs.
