In addition, they will participate in scholarly activity, faculty development, patient safety and quality improvement initiatives, prepare and provide didactics, participate in the evaluation of the residents and medical students, and develop programs and preparation for CLER and RRC site visits.

While previous experience in a residency program teaching role is preferred, individuals just finishing residency/fellowship training are highly encouraged to apply.

Minimum Qualifications MD, DO or equivalent from an accredited institution and able to be licensed in the State of Texas.

If applicable, have completed sub-specialty specific training.

Discipline Specific Required Qualifications Completion of a Dermatology residency program from an ACGME -accredited programs as well as Certification by the American Board of Dermatology.

Preferred Qualifications Experience in educating residents in a GME Program and medical students in an accredited Medical School.

This position has the option to elect the Optional Retirement Program ( ORP ) instead of TRS , subject to the position being 40 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
