    Phoenix, ArizonaYour seat at the tableThe Continuous Improvement Supervisor position is accountable for the business results for each line, and is responsible for the efficient ways of refining the production and teamwork processes of employees, and targeting the improvement of the safety quality of the product in a continuous, improvement-based environment, while also maintaining a safe work environment.

    This is to be accomplished through developing a ninety-day plan of improvement; effective leadership, coaching and development of individuals; and through building team dynamics targeting improvement techniques and designs, while applying Lean, Total Productive Maintenance, and other continuous improvement tools and methodsThe Continuous Improvement Supervisor position is accountable for accomplishing safety quality improvement projects and the delivery of performance results, through effective execution in directing and monitoring the improvement process, and leading and developing team members.

    The Continuous Improvement Supervisor is responsible for leading Tier 2 Daily Direction Setting (DDS) and participating in Tier 3 DDS.Directs and monitors the activities of employees engaged in the production and processing of improvement projects targeting high quality snack food productsEnsures that behaviors, practices, and the work environment supports a safe workplace by enforcing safety and sanitation rules and principlesEnsures and monitors improvement project quality and project implementation efficiencyUtilizes metrics/data to evaluate and improve work processesPlans and establishes work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet performance standardsTranslates schedules to identified improvement requirementsUtilizes standard work processes to ensure repeatable performanceMonitors improvement goals and levels to make sure they are consistent with performance standardsConfers with supervisors and leadership team to coordinate operations and activities within or between departmentsObserves work equipment and product to ensure that employees conform to production and improvement standardsTracks employees' work performance and attendance to ensure performance metrics are metDirects employees involved in the production of improvement projects, such as packaging, processing, and maintenance techniciansDrives root cause analysisLeading and Developing Team MembersCoaches team members on a daily basis in the principles of effective productionMentors team members on career aspirationsLeads the team through an emphasis on both production and peopleCommunicates effectively with employees through both oral and written meansConducts employee training to improve employees' expertise and knowledge in equipment operations, work safety procedures, and teamwork, or assigns employee training to experienced workersProvides feedback to employees on individual performance standards in a timely and efficient mannerProvides training to employees or ensures that all employees are adequately trained and engaged in developmental activitiesBuilds rapport and collaborative relationships across cross-functional teamsWhat you bring to the tableHigh school or equivalent degree required; a two-year technical or four-year bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred2+ years of experience in a production management or supervision role, preferably in the food processing industryExperience working with Continuous Improvement/Lean methods and tools (Total Production Maintenance, Centerlines, CIL's, Defect Handling, 5S, Quick Changeover)Knowledge of basic and advanced principles of training and coaching individuals and groupsKnowledge of techniques for maximizing the manufacture and distribution of goodsInterpersonal skillsTime management skillsOrganizational skillsComputer skillsProficiency in the Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of detailed plans of improvementAbility to work within an integrated operating enterpriseAbility to manage hourly team members in executing complex programsAbility to work a variable scheduleAbility to read and comprehend written materialAbility to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentencesKnowledge, skills, and abilities consistent with the essential duties and responsibilitiesWe Offer a Feast of BenefitsMedical, Dental, Vision, Life, Flexible Spending Account, Retirement Savings Plan with Match, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, Group Critical Accident Insurance, Group Critical Illness Insurance, Employee Assistance Plan and numerous opportunities to volunteer in the communities in which we operate.
