    Description
    Hitachi Energy's North America Transformer Hub Engineering Development program is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer.

    You can work at either the South Boston, VA or Raleigh, NC location, but you may need to visit the South Boston, VA factory for initial training.

    You will learn the Engineering design process from beginning to end, with the goal of helping the various factories with product designs that they can produce.

    In this training program, you will get a cross functional training in the marketing/Quality for six months, where you will understand the whole business process and apply your technical design skill knowledge from Engineering to the Marketing and Quality functions.

    Your Background
    Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an Accredited University and two (2) or more years of work experience. Intern and Co-op experience will be considered as part of the 2 years of required work experience.

    Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the U.S.

    Interest in the energy and/or manufacturing sectors

    Self-starter that seeks knowledge outside of the classroom

    Willingness to stay and work from: South Boston, VA during training.
