    You will tackle a wide range of use cases, including situational awareness, emergency response, inspection, mapping, and multi-platform coordination. These represent some of the first deployments of autonomous robots to perform valuable real-world tasks.

    Due to the nature of these products, the ability to obtain a US Government Security Clearance is required

    How you'll make an impact:


    Design and build complex autonomous capabilities through collaboration across our autonomy, mobile, product, and flight test teamsRapidly prototype, develop, and iterate core autonomous flight and robotic algorithms to validate industry requirements and take ownership of those prototypes as they mature into robust commercial productsGuide the requirements, development, and testing process to ensure excellence of the software productCapture, understand, and react to customer feedback to drive rapid improvements in product capabilitiesWhat makes you a good fit:Ability to obtain a US Government Security ClearanceProficiency in C++Experience using autonomous robotic systems and protocols, e.g., MAVLink, PX4, ROS, etc.

    Familiarity with cross-platform development tools, e.g., QtFamiliarity with networking or distributed systemsExperience building software and creating applications for interfacing with robots or hardware devicesHighly curious, creative, and able to communicate concepts to non-technical audiencesStrong software engineering fundamentals and a commitment to writing clean, well architected codeExcited to use robotics to make the world safer, more productive, and more creative

    Compensation Range:
    The annual base salary range for this position (spanning multiple experience levels) is $170, ,000*.

    Compensation will vary based on factors, including skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience.

    In addition to base salary, Skydio full-time employees are eligible to enroll in our benefit plans and take advantage of a variety of incentives and stipends.
