- Oversee all aspects of cost accounting, including analyzing production costs, variances, and inventory valuation.
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Develop and maintain standard costing systems and ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budget forecasts, and variance reports to support decision-making processes.
- Assist in the implementation of ERP systems and other accounting software enhancements.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies during audits and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- Participate in special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong background in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment is essential.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
