    **Overview:**

    A successful candidate for CDL Class A Driver with a clean driving record, a valid Class A commercial driver's license, able to maintain a valid DOT Medical Card, ability to complete daily vehicle inspections and a commitment to safe driving practices. CDL Class A Driver. Under general supervision, this position will transport equipment and materials associated with construction/upgrade of the fiber systems.

    **Responsibilities:**

    Operate truck safely to and from destination

    Obey all traffic laws

    Maintain and inspect truck and trailer

    Performs preventative maintenance such as general equipment cleaning, checking fluid levels, lubrication, maintaining tires pressures, and changing implements or attachments

    Positions blocks and/or tarps to secure load transit

    Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed

    Other duties as assigned by Supervisor

    **Qualifications:**

    Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

    Class A CDL License

    Possess a valid drivers license or be eligible and willing to obtain the required license for the position.

    A good driving record is required.

    Must be willing to work overtime and some weekends, as needed.

    Must be willing to train

    **Preferred Qualifications:**

    Class A CDL License

    Prior experience working in an outside plant/construction environment.

    Previous construction experience, preferably in the telecommunications industry.

    **Physical Requirements:**

    Ability to lift and/or pull 10 pounds several times each day.

    Ability to perform physical tasks for the entire assigned work shift

    Standing - 6 to 8 hours daily

    Walking - 6 to 8 hours daily

    Driving - 2 to 4 hours daily

    Bending/Stooping - 6 to 8 hours daily

    Repetitive Movement (shoveling/sweeping_ - 6 to 8 hours daily

    Lifting (weights up to 100 lbs.) - Occasionally

    Lift and carry (50/60 lbs. for 20 feet) - Regularly

    Push / Pull - 6 to 8 hours daily

    Ability to work indoor and outdoor environments during all times of the year.

    **Safety Requirements:**

    The Coordinator shall follow all safety rules at all times.

    The Coordinator shall not engage in unsafe acts.

    The Coordinator is expected to attend and participate in all safety meetings and training.

    The Coordinator shall use all prescribed safety equipment that is required to safely do the job at hand.

    The Coordinator shall report unsafe acts or conditions to his or her immediate Supervisor or Safety Personnel.

    The Coordinator shall report any and all injuries, accidents, and/or incidents immediately their immediate Supervisor.

    The Coordinator shall be a safe worker on and off the job.
