    Job Description

    Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This direct hire role offers a unique chance to practice in both the Emergency Department (ED) and Critical Care Unit (CCU), as well as contribute to an antibiotic stewardship team. Unlike larger hospitals where pharmacists might be limited to a single floor, this position supports diverse clinical growth by serving various units.

    Location:

    • State College, PA, a vibrant community known for Penn State University
    • Relocation assistance available for a smooth transition

    Responsibilities:

    • Enter and verify medication orders, ensuring accuracy and appropriateness
    • Conduct medication profile reviews tailored to patient needs
    • Provide clinical pharmacy services specific to patient populations
    • Serve as a drug information resource to healthcare teams
    • Participate actively in multidisciplinary rounds and team meetings per practice area
    • Monitor and manage drug therapy in accordance with established protocols
    • Engage in critical patient care scenarios such as cardiac arrest, stroke, sepsis, and trauma within the ED/ICU environments

    Qualifications/Desired Experience:

    • Pharmacy licensure applicable to practice state requirements
    • Clinical experience in outpatient, ED, or critical care pharmacy preferred
    • Strong ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
    • Comfort with acute patient care settings and rapid decision-making
    • Proficiency with Meditech or willingness to learn

    Schedule:

    • Variable day and afternoon shifts
    • Primarily 8-hour day shifts, allowing work-life balance
