- Provide employment services and supports designed to assist an individual to find and maintain a job in the community; soft skills training, assistance with application
- Develop, implement and monitor individual employment action plans and collaborate with supervisor related to the same
- Deliver employment supports utilizing strength-based, person-centered approaches
- Provide ongoing employment services and supports to the individual and employer to include on-site job support and coaching, re-training, advocacy, career advancement and linkage to other relevant services
- Communicate with individuals served and vocational counselors in provision of services and coordinate planning meetings as appropriate
- Network with community businesses to identify new partnerships and cultivate existing partnerships to promote inclusive employment environments
- Act as a positive role model to individuals receiving services and maintain a professional presentation in all aspects of the position
- Possess strong interpersonal skills including effectively communicating ideas/directions, maintaining professionalism, and being receptive to guidance/direction from supervisor
- Experience interfacing with business community and comfortable in networking situations
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Effective time management and strong organizational skills
- Be computer literate with knowledge in agency operating systems and applicable software required for department needs
- Demonstrate sound judgment in normal work and emergency situations
- Able to work scheduled hours that may include overtime, weekend and/or holiday timeframes and maintain an acceptable work attendance as defined in the agency's employee policy manual
- Must physically be able to perform required certifications and lift twenty-five (25) pounds
- Bachelor's Degree in Vocational Rehabilitation or related Human Service field - OR - Associates Degree in Business; Liberal Arts or Human Services and two years applicable field experience - OR - A High School Diploma/GED and experience that, in the opinion of the reviewing agency, exceeds the above standards of the program.
- Possess a valid driver's license acceptable to the agency's insurance carrier
