Both hospitals have non-invasive cardiology departments, offering EKG, echocardiography, Holter monitoring, nuclear stress testing, ICUs, and cardiac telemetry. Both hospitals offer cardiac catheterization and Charlton Memorial does coronary interventions, electrophysiology, open heart surgery, and TAVR procedures. Each hospital team includes a cardiac nurse practitioner. The position will be scheduled 7-on and 7-off, alternate weeks being covered by the other 6 cardiologists. J-1 or H-1B candidates are eligible to work at one of our two facilities, which qualifies for a "visa waiver" due to the population of patients it regularly serves. The successful candidate would see consults in the CCU, on the floors, and in the Emergency Department and should be qualified to interpret EKG, Holter, echocardiograms, and cardiac stress tests. Duties may require placement of temporary pacing wires, management of CHF, dysrhythmias, acute myocardial infarctions, and acutely-ill cardiac patients. Patients are generally admitted and discharged by our Hospitalist team. Group is a 150-provider, physician-owned multispecialty group in Southestern, Massachusetts. In addition to 40 Primary Care physicians, we represent various medical and surgical specialists, with laboratory and imaging capabilities. Our Outpatient Cardiology Division offers accredited 3-D echocardiography, nuclear stress testing, cardiac CT, and Holter monitoring. Southeastern MA has an excellent medical community and our broad Primary Care base provides an excellent source of specialty referrals. The salary is competitive and commensurate with training and experience. Physicians are eligible for corporate bonuses and partnership. Of course, moving expenses, health insurance, vacation, CME expenses, and a 401K are included. We are in a healthy growth phase and are a solid influence in this medical community.
