    The Impact of a Senior Product Manager at Coupa:

    As a Product Manager on the Coupa Procurement team, you define and build products that drive tangible value for users. You operate at the intersection of the business community, engineering team, and user experience team and you represent the voice of the customer. You design and execute on new, innovative ideas backed by conversations with customers and procurement experts.

    You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savviness; a big-picture vision and an internal drive to make that vision a reality. You must enjoy digging deeper, collaborating, rolling up your sleeves, and getting it done.

    What you will do:

    • Represent the Procurement product internally and externally
    • Operate with a general manager mindset, and manage the entire product life cycle from strategic planning, road mapping, feature design, development support, go-to-market, and field support for the features you own
    • Work cross-functionally to ensure alignment between other product areas and the wider organization
    • Define detailed feature requirements in partnership with Engineering, UX, Services as well as customers
    • Work closely with Engineering through design, build, test of requirements (stories), and documentation
    • Measure success of your product and drive feature adoption through cross-functional & customer enablement
    • Give polished presentations to stakeholders and customers
    • Continually assess our products' competitive market position

    What you will bring to Coupa:

    • You have at least 8+ years of work experience, at least 4 in Product Management in enterprise SaaS
    • You're an organized thinker, analytical, fact-based and excel at getting to the bottom of issues
    • You know exactly what needs to be accomplished in every meeting, and consistently drive toward clarity and on-time delivery
    • You get excited to roll up your sleeves and tackle a challenge hands-on. Your strong sense of ownership means you persevere when others fall away
    • You have a great eye for design and user experience
    • You are a great collaborator. Dev and QE both trust you and brainstorm with you. Stakeholders don't get blind-sighted by you
    • You are a clear communicator. You can explain the most technical of subjects to kindergartners and have them ask intelligent questions about it
    • You convert complex and ambiguous topics into concrete delightful product features
    • You connect the dots from multiple conversations to reach a higher level of understanding and an actionable point of view
    • You are comfortable managing conflicting viewpoints and strong personalities to extract insight and close the loop
    • You have a 6th sense for anticipating problems/delays before they arise, so you're able to either avert them or prepare yourself
    • You have experience building zero to 1 in the context of legacy systems

    It would be great if you can also bring:

    • BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance or a technical degree is preferred. MBA a strong plus
    • Experience with areas of business spend management like expenses, sourcing, contracts, procurement, or payments
    • Strong fundamentals with application development, Agile software development, Jira, Confluence and mastery of writing analytics SQL queries

    The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:


    • Based in California: $155, ,500

    The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state.
