- Provides financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action.
- Advises on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take.
- Maintains the financial health of the organization.
- Analyzes costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company's actual performance compared to the business plans.
- Develops trends and projections for the firm's finances.
- Conducts reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
- Oversees operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met.
- Manages the preparation of the company's budget and strategic plan.
- Liase with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.
- Corresponds with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken.
- Manages and directs the efforts of his/her team and is responsible for hiring, training, coaching, disciplining, managing performance, developing and engaging personnel, in order to maintain a skilled and productive workforce to meet or exceed ChenMed's business goals. - Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
- A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
- Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and database software
- Experience with Workday and Adaptive Systems a plus
- Proficient in the use of finance software
- Ability and willingness to travel locally, regionally, and nationwide up to 10% of the time
- Spoken and written fluency in English
- This job requires use and exercise of independent judgment
- Bachelor's degree; experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis above the minimum experience required
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics and/or MBA preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years of related experience
- Proven experience as a Financial Manager
- Experience in the financial sector with previous possible roles such as Financial Analyst
- Professional qualification such as CFA/CPA or similar will be considered a plus
