    Overview

    We are seeking a full-time

    Team Leader Aviation Data Services i n our Scottsdale, AZ office.

    In this role, you will be responsible for training, coordinating, mentoring, and leading a specialized technical team to measurable results.

    They will provide technical and operational leadership for day-to-day activities and ensure that the team remains efficient and accountable to high quality and safety standards.

    Essential Functions
    Directly supervise team members and provide leadership and guidance to direct reports in processes, project management, and professional development.
    Provide the day-to-day supervision and oversight for the following teams and their primary function(s):
    Production Team - Runway (NOTAM)

    Desk:
    Analyzes NOTAM data and feed relevant information and solutions into our systems and databases. The Runway Desk provides 24/7/365 operational support and collaborates with airports and/or customers to ensure accuracy of information.
    Develop a high-performance team to achieve superior results and empower associates to exceed expectations for their roles.

    Work with the Manager and other Team Leads to plan resource requirements and inter-team reassignments as necessary to complete assigned projects.

    Research and recommend new technologies, processes, and solutions to meet business needs and continually improve the productivity and effectiveness of the team.

    Work with Human Resources to address employee relations issues, including writing and conducting annual performance evaluations.
    Work with leadership on staffing plans to ensure the Aviation Data Services team meets overall quality and schedule goals.
    Interview and hire new associates, identify and develop future leaders.
    Mentor and train associates in their progression through the technical career path.
    Establish procedures and practices that result in high-quality service.
    Identify tools and resources needed by the Aviation Data Services team to streamline team efficiencies.

    Perform other job-related duties as assigned
    Participate in recruiting activities
    Periodic overtime, holiday, and weekend work may be necessary.
    Basic Qualifications
    Bachelor's Degree in aviation, business, or a relevant technical discipline


    OR
    an equivalent combination of education and experience
    Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical role, performing duties similar to the functions of this team
    Must have a desire to lead people and have experience as a mentor, project lead, or technical lead
    Good leadership qualities, vision, presentation, training, development, communication, organizational and technical skills, and an overall understanding of the primary objectives and goals for each team within the department
    Good technical knowledge in processing aeronautical data, runway analysis and emergency engine-out procedure design, takeoff/landing performance data, NOTAMs, database exports, and database overrides
    An understanding of regulatory law and advisory data set forth by governing authorities and civil aviation administrations for aviation operations directly related to one-engine inoperative emergency scenarios, minimum certification requirements for aircraft performance, and obstacle accountability
    Understands statistical data and mathematical concepts and how to apply them to runway analysis and performance metrics
    Able to work efficiently; prioritizing, leading, and directing tasks and projects for self and direct reports
    Can handle, direct, and delegate multiple assignments with fluctuating and time-sensitive deadlines
    Desired Qualifications
    Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
    Experience in leading cross-functional teams, projects, or groups
    Private Pilot
