    Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) Coach

    Primary Responsibilities: The Maplewood Richmond Heights School District is seeking an outstanding educator for the position of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) Coach The candidate must have foundational knowledge of the 3 Tier MTSS process, possess the ability to work collaboratively with administrators, Special School District (SSD) staff, and school psychologists to design, implement and monitor interventions designed to help at-risk students achieve academic, behavioral and social emotional success. The MTSS Coach will provide consultation, interpretation of data for decision making, and other supportive assistance necessary to improve academic, behavioral, and social-emotional outcomes for students.

    Qualifications/Education/Experience:

    • Must have a valid Missouri teaching or counselor certificate, administrator certification preferred.
    • Master's degree required
    • Understand Multi-Tiered Systems of Support model and implementation of a MTSS model at the district and school level.
    • Managing the analysis and presentation of data and progress of data-driven initiatives for leadership team(s).
    • Understand federal programs and DESE guidelines for accountability and district and school improvement.
    • Understand and can apply principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
    Terms of Employment: Full-time, Ten-month employee. Compensation and benefits as provided by the Board of Education.

    Essential Functions:
    • Active member of the MTSS Core Team at the district level.
    • Assists with monitoring school level implementation plan by noting activities that have been completed or recording reasons for not completing activities within designated timelines.
    • Monitor and prompt the use of district processes and procedures (e.g., communication protocols).
    • Models and assists with the implementation of interventions, supports, and processes across grade levels and departments.
    • Facilitate on-going professional development with coaching support aligned to district adopted interventions to develop teacher capacity.
    • Facilitate and support transition plans and cross building meetings for students with active intervention plans.
    • Participate and support weekly and monthly SSC Alternative Education meetings to advocate and monitor the effectiveness of supports and student progress.
    • Monitor and prompt review of school level implementation and identification of district support provided to schools.
    • Provide coaching support and feedback to school based MTSS teams.
    • Assist school teams in using district-established criteria, tools and sources of data/evidence to identify student needs, target skills, prescribed interventions and develop high-quality intervention plans.
    • Design, implement, and support ongoing professional learning experiences for the implementation of evidence-based interventions and instructional strategies.
    • Support MTSS teams to use data to make instructional decisions regarding interventions for students.
    • Participate in the school improvement process to increase student achievement.
