Job Summary
This position is to cover multiple sites for leaves etc Performs comprehensive audiologic assessments including ototoxic monitoring Recognizes and implements strategies for non organic hearing loss and appropriate referrals for additional non behavioral assessment if needed Cerumen management commiserate with experience and knowledge Evaluates selects fits dispenses hearing assistive technology including hearing aids assistive listening devices and accessories Hearing aid services to include hearing aid evaluation hearing aid fitting dispensing follow up and ongoing care Makes recommendations offer a variety of styles technologies manufacturers as well as appropriate accessories assistive listening devices Provides coverage for the walk in clinic Adheres to appropriate billing practices Recognizes need makes appropriate referrals for complex audiological cases for management eg implantable advances assistive listening devices work accommodations tinnitus management vestibular assessments otologic etc Maintains appropriate documentation in medical record Participates in department activities including teaching program development monthly meetings student supervision Involvement in other committees or groups within the organization or in the community Other duties as assignedJob description
