- Triaging patients properly and efficiently
- Obtaining and documenting initial patient assessments - establishing priorities according to patient needs
- Reassessing patients as necessary, communicating changes to the physician
- Making comprehensive nursing decisions based on the interpretation of facts and evaluations of patient outcomes
- Providing patient and family regarding patient emergency care and after care
- Providing patient assignments within Title 22 guidelines and hospital policy
- Valid California Registered license
- One (1) years clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in an Emergency or Critical Care environment
- Previous Charge Nurse experience preferred
- BLS, ACLS, NCI, PALS and EDAP
- Completion of basic arrhythmia courses
- Understanding of EMTALA and abuse reporting requirements
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and organization skills required
- Basic computer skills - Empower experience preferred
