- Civil design, landfill design, and site layout;
- Geotechnical engineering analyses such as slope stability, settlement, bearing capacity, seismic, and seepage;
- Dam inspections, evaluation, and design;
- Geotechnical and environmental site characterization;
- Development and management of instrumentation monitoring systems;
- Project/task management and proposal preparation support;
- Construction quality assurance oversight and management
- Preparation of engineering reports, design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and permit applications; and
- Fieldwork associated with design and construction services.
- Bachelor's degree in civil, water resources or geotechnical engineering or a related field. (required)
- Advanced degree in earth science, geotechnical engineering or a related field. (preferred)
- Professional registration (i.e., P.E. P.G.). (required)
- At least 8 years directly relevant experience in a consulting environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
- Knowledge of relevant geotechnical engineering software (e.g., seepage and slope stability). (required)
- Knowledge of numerical modeling tools. (preferred)
- Design and construction experience;
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. (required)
- Excellent writing and communication skills. (required)
- Field work and overnight travel may be required.
- Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers. (preferred)
- Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required.
- Valid U.S. drivers license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Collaboration and mentoring are cornerstones of Geosyntecs culture.
