    Avera is seeking a Senior Research Data Analyst

    Job Summary

    The Senior Research Data Analyst is an integral member of the Data Management and Analysis Core at Avera Research Institute, providing support, insight, and expertise to researchers and study staff in management of study data; including building and maintaining research databases, data management, organization, and quality control. This individual will lead and create processes involving data collection and will work with, manage, and organize large, complex relational datasets. As a Senior Research Data Analyst, this individual will lead and oversee the development of large complex databases, for data collection and case management. They will be responsible for training research data analysts in the best practices of data management and data collection. They will work directly with researchers and study staff to develop best practices for data collection and management. This position requires strong attention to detail and to be a team player.

    Education and/or Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Biostatistics, or a Science-related field required and at least two years of experience working with human subjects' research data required.
    • Minimum of two years' experience in scientific research and database building and management is required.
    • Experience in REDCap electronic data capture system is preferred.
    • Must be proficient with computer software not limited to, but including, Microsoft Office Suite.
    Work Schedule
    • Monday - Friday; Days - 8 hour shifts
