Infuz Architects is a full-service architecture firm that has been providing services for more than 25 years. Although our primary registration is in Michigan, our work spans several states across the country. We have offices in downtown Detroit, Port Huron and Wilmington, Delaware.

Job Description:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, versatile person to join our team who can lead business development in a broad range of arenas. This individual will be responsible for fostering new design opportunities in the greater Detroit area and new markets. Experience in the architecture/design field is preferred to enable you to communicate effectively with prospective clients, but it is not mandatory. More important is a desire to network to create business opportunities, and an interest in new and emerging technologies in our field. This position can be flex time and remote.

Qualifications:

  • Architecture, design, and/or construction work experience preferred
  • Experience preparing estimates and/or RFPs/RFQs preferred
  • Experience in developing & managing web content, including SEO
  • Managing social media accounts & blog/news content creation
  • Comfort and experience with using various AI platforms and willingness to learn/research new technologies
  • Ability to network in the development marketplace and communicate with prospective clients
  • Versatile, energetic, engaging, & driven personality
  • Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to self-motivate
  • Reliable mode of transportation
  • Experience with data capture, PolyCam (or other LiDAR software) & Revit

Duties:

The Director of Business Development & Marketing will be responsible for:

  • Managing new project inquiries, establishing strong client relationships, and maintaining on-going support and communication to active, as well as archived, clients. This includes responding to phone calls and emails in a professional and timely manner, and scheduling in-person meetings.
  • Securing new work for the firm: This includes obtaining adequate information about clients and their projects and preparing design proposals. Occasionally, new projects will require site visits and/or building walkthroughs for quoting purposes. For select projects, you may also prepare detailed Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and/or Requests for Qualifications (RFQs).
  • Onboarding projects internally: Once a project is activated, it will be your responsibility to appropriately inform the design team of client and project expectations. It will also be your duty to provide ongoing support to active projects and maintain consistent, honest, and reliable communication with our clients.
  • Project Capture and Base Models: Once a project is onboarded, it will be your responsibility to schedule a site visit with our clients to perform a lidar scan/photo survey/field measure of the existing conditions. Locating critical systems and doing a basic assessment of the property. With that information, a 3D/BIM (Revit) model is constructed.
  • Frequently updating our online presence, including the company website with new content, and keeping social media accounts active. Press releases & blog posts will also be an important part of sharing project updates with our community. SEO should be considered for all digital media content.
  • Special Projects will require social event planning, new market opportunities, new business start-up development, and assistance to the principal for related projects.
  • Research new & emerging Construction Industry products and technology, as well as AI technologies related to Infuz's workflow and procedures. This will require a broad understanding of architectural design workflow and current drafting software.
  • Being an Ambassador of the Firm: As Business Development Director, and as you interact with others, it is expected that you promote Infuz where opportunities exist.

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
