- Oversee all aspects of assigned projects from initiation to completion, ensuring satisfaction, timeliness, and budget adherence.
- Manage the proper installation of equipment and facilitate a positive and productive work environment for project teams.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with key stakeholders, including Corporate and Division Management.
- Identify and recommend new projects for process improvements related to safety, regulatory compliance, and production.
- Prepare comprehensive project budgets, obtain bids, estimate costs, and monitor financial aspects throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work closely with permitting bodies and consultants to ensure timely and accurate project permit filings.
- Prepare and update Gantt charts based on input from the Corporate Production Manager.
- Monitor project milestones and promptly address any known or potential delays.
- Ensure all projects comply with regulatory and building codes and standards.
- Review blueprints, contractor proposals, and negotiate contracts with outside vendors and subcontractors.
- Supervise department staff, including hiring, discipline, and performance reviews.
- Maintain spare equipment inventory for necessary divisions.
- Prepare and submit weekly written reports on project status.
- Address questions, concerns, and complaints throughout each project.
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 4 years of Engineering experience, with a preference for Mechanical Engineering.
- 3 years of project management experience with direct supervisory experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD/AutoCAD Plant 3D, knowledge of Navisworks, and experience in extracting BOMs.
- Ability to read blueprints and identify various types of welding processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
- Knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements related to manufacturing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Excellent work ethic and willingness to work flexible hours to meet project deadlines.
- Valid California Drivers License with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, with some overnight travel to other divisions.
