The Stationary Engineer operates and maintains stationary engines and mechanical equipment to provide utilities for buildings and industrial processes: Reads meters and gauges or automatic recording devices at specified intervals to verify operating conditions.
+Responsibilities
- Records data observing readings on gauges meters charts adjusting controls insure safe efficient operation system meet demands services provided temperature equipment hours operation fuel consumed temperature pressure water levels analysis flue gases voltage load generator balance
- Adjusts manual controls overrides automatic controls bring equipment recommended prescribed operating ranges switch backup systems shut down equipment visually inspects equipment periodic intervals detect malfunctions need repair adjustment lubrication
