    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Job Summary:

    As a Commodities Quantitative Analyst, your primary role will be to support the development and growth of our clean fuels business and optimization capabilities. We are seeking an individual with a strong background in commodities trading, M&A experience, and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in statistics, mathematics, computer science, finance, or economics. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in financial and fundamental modeling, deal valuation, risk assessment, and fundamental/market-specific research, including considerations for emissions. Excellent analytical, quantitative, and communication skills are essential, and prior experience with the Middle Office function is advantageous.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Modeling and Infrastructure:

    • Design, develop, and maintain models related to M&A evaluation, commodity trade pricing, and risk management.
    • Collaborate with teams to deploy new pricing risk libraries to production.

    Quantitative Research and Analysis:

    • Provide quantitative strategies to front office desks using pricing tools.
    • Define models and numerical methods to enhance pricing and hedging of structured and cross-asset products.
    • Generate investment ideas and conduct in-depth industry and company research.
    • Implement models using programming languages such as C++, Python, and other domain-specific languages.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Basic Qualifications and Skills:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in statistics, mathematics, computer science, finance, or economics
    • Proven experience in quantitative investment or commodity modeling and investment analytics, including optimization, probability, statistics, econometrics, applied math, machine learning, factor models, quantitative risk, and portfolio management
    • Proven experience in investment banking or equity research
    • Prior experience in Commodity trading/Commodity M&A and/or Investment Banking experience preferred
    • Prior experience with Middle Office function
    • Excellent modeling skills, including knowledge of PDEs, Monte Carlo methods, and Equity derivatives modeling

    Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

    • Strong understanding of financial and fundamental modeling, deal valuation, risk, and market-specific research, including emissions.
    • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and communication skills.

    Work Authorization:

    The ideal candidate for this role will have authorization to work in the US before joining Hanwha. This role will not sponsor or offer assistance with the sponsorship for work authorization in the United States.
