- Performs work tasks as an Addiction Counselor in areas of assessments; group, individual, and family counseling; lectures; crisis intervention; and outcome reports.
- Maintain program record keeping in a professional and timely manner and in accordance with program and state requirements.
- Provide services in a manner that could involve both face to face and/or via telehealth.
- Conduct diagnostic/placement assessments; provide group, individual, and family counseling services, client lectures, and case management services, in accordance with best clinical practices, laws, and administrative rules.
- Under supervision of licensed clinical professional counselor or clinical social worker, identify, coordinate, and/or provide direct care to consumers with co-occurring disorders.
- Offer crisis stabilization services, as needed. Refer individuals to needed adjunct services and/or appropriate level of care.
- Provide training and presentations to community groups and agencies on related substance abuse topics.
- Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with federal and state laws.
- Reports to the Addictions Licensed Program Supervisor.
- Minimum of 8-10 hours per week
- Flexible hours
- $15/15 minute billable unit
- Open to in-person and remote client access.
- An Associate or bachelor's degree in alcohol and drug studies, psychology, counseling, or a related field from an accredited university is required.
- Must be licensed as an Addiction Counselor.
- An equivalent combination of study and experience; 2000 hours of supervised work experience in chemical dependency counseling and certification.
- Must have a valid driver's license, valid vehicle insurance and personal vehicle.
- Excellent computer and communication skills.
- In addition, dual license LCPC or LCSW is preferred.
