Contract to HIRE for 6 months

Join our Systems Engineering team, a group of professionals enhancing military capabilities and securing critical information and infrastructure.

We need experienced Systems Engineers to support our Combat Vehicle and Naval Guns Product Lines. We prioritize our workforce well-being. This position is on-site with a 9/80 schedule, enjoying every other Friday off in either Minneapolis, MN or Sterling Heights, MI offices.

Responsibilities:

Support requirements development and management.
Develop subsystem and component performance specifications analyzing and deriving necessary requirements.
Develop and maintain requirements verification and compliance, and supporting artifacts.
Coordinate and facilitate architecture development of assigned system, subsystems, and components.
Support development and maintenance of interface requirements and interface design information for assigned sub-system, systems and components.
Document concept design decisions, generating System/Subsystem Design Descriptions (SSDDs) and capability assessments.
Coordinate and facilitate formal decisions and trade studies to drive design and document results.
Support the execution and monitoring of cost, schedule, and risk.
Coordinate Systems Engineering activities to influence the design.
Support vehicle-level Systems Engineering activities and program milestone reviews.

Requirements:

Experience with DOORS requirements management tool.
Bachelor's degree in engineering and 4+ years of relevant experience.
Systems engineering experience performing requirements analysis, derivation, and allocation, translating requirements to viable concepts design solutions.
Experience developing architecture concepts and evaluating alternatives, balancing system design considering system concept of operations (CONOPS), performance, constraints, and logistics concerns.
Able to plan, conduct, and document complex trade studies.
Able to generate System/Subsystem Design Descriptions (SSDDs) and capability assessments per the program statement of work (SOW).
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
