    Description
    Physician Assistant Opportunity -Upstate New York
    90 minutes from NYCNeed: Experienced PA to see patients in an Internal medicine clinic
    Schedule is Monday -Friday8 am to 5 pm$125,000 negotiable

    Responsibilities:
    • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and assessment of symptoms.
    • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood work, imaging studies, and other diagnostic procedures.
    • Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions commonly seen in internal medicine practice.
    • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, incorporating evidence-based medicine, lifestyle modifications, medication management, and other appropriate interventions.
    • Provide ongoing management of chronic conditions, including medication adjustments, monitoring of disease progression, and patient education on disease management and prevention.
    • Coordinate care with other healthcare providers, specialists, and allied health professionals as needed to ensure comprehensive and integrated patient care.
    • Collaborate closely with the supervising physician(s) to discuss complex cases, review treatment plans, and seek guidance as necessary.
    • Educate patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatment options, preventive care measures, and self-management strategies.
    • Document all patient encounters, assessments, treatment plans, and follow-up care accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record system.
    • Participate in practice quality improvement initiatives, such as performance measurement, patient satisfaction surveys, and clinical guideline adherence.
    Qualifications:
    • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
    • Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in the state of New York.
    • Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
    • Strong clinical skills, including the ability to perform comprehensive physical examinations, interpret diagnostic tests, and formulate accurate diagnoses.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
    • Commitment to providing patient-centered care with compassion, empathy, and cultural sensitivity.
